Wedding Trends for 2017
It's always exciting to see what the top wedding trends are! The wedding trends for 2017 are all so fabulous and you can probably incorporate most of them in your wedding if this is your year. Just take these ideas and add your own personalized style to create a memorable wedding for you and your guests. Getting married in any season this year will definitely give you an array of options for reception decor, flower girl dresses, wedding dresses and the groom and his groomsmen for a wedding in 2017.
The first thing I notice for decor and just about everything else is a touch of greenery. You can bring in lush greenery or add dainty little touches here and there to set off beautiful color. Add beautiful green wreaths to the bride and groom chairs, down the center of the reception tables offset with simple candles, berries and floral touches. You can also carry the green theme into your wedding invitations with simple green wreath designs, so gorgeous and understated!
Add this wedding trend to your wedding day hairstyle with sprigs of rosemary or lush leaves with tiny berries and flowers. Also, a simple green leaf flower crown with trailing vines would be just beautiful, especially for an outdoor ceremony or garden wedding. Your flower girl should also wear her own sweet greenery crown, she will feel like a princess! Another charming touch would be to hang large, thin grapevine wreaths over tables with touches of leaves and baby's breath for a real wow factor. It's also economical too.
A favorite trend of mine is the boho or rustic theme. I hope this never goes out of style as it is just so natural and brings out all the beauty of nature and the bride and her party. It's not overwhelming yet definitely adds a wonderful mood for outdoor weddings or barn weddings. The wedding party should reflect the rustic beauty, from the flower girl to the groom. Have your little flower girl carry a little handled purse covered in moss and flowers and the little ring bearer could carry a simple wood slab with a sweet nest holding the ring. Natural, flowing and comfy should be your goal with laid back style.
Take a look at some gorgeous photos of these top wedding trends:
Who doesn't love a bit of glamour for a romantic wedding day? These gold metallic platform shoes are a perfect detail to a beautiful wedding gown and the bow adds a pretty design without taking away from the wedding gown. Don't forget your flower girl as she is leading your way! This charming flower girl dress has all the trending elements of gold glitter and sequins and ivory. This short little dress will show off her dancing shoes too. Of course a metallic gold wedding cake will steal the show.
Perfect for those summer weddings, the greenery trend provides a lush pop of nature that's always beautiful. There's so many possibilities for outdoor decor too to stand out in a crowd. I love the simple sprigs of green and berries for the braided wedding day hairstyle. Another possibility would be a simple ivy flower crown. A reception table can showcase thick layers of interesting shaped leaves adding not only gorgeous color but unique textures that will make your photography look outstanding. Simplistic decor calls for sparsely decorated large grapevine wreaths with ivy and flowers. Hang these from trees, rafters and high doorways. Hello charm!
Boho love is still going strong this year I'm happy to say. Keep the theme with a flowing lace dress that drapes into a small train. A flower crown is a must for styling. Top off tables with macrame hanging planters filled with your favorite wildflowers. You can use these again for your own home decor to remind you of your special day. I think this photo stand is super fun. It's simply a rustic wood pallet laced with little white lights and photo highlights of the bride and groom and their families. It's low cost too for such a great conversation piece.
Vintage is old but new again for weddings. It adds so much charm and truly makes your own wedding one of a kind with bygone treasures. And how fun will it be to be on the hunt for these finds browsing flea markets and antique shops? Rentals is another way to go for larger decor such as cabinets and cupboards, antique autos or interesting seating for fabulous photos. Here's the pallet idea again but hang vintage frames with personal photos. Simple but definitely makes a statement.
